Mark 9:16-18 - "What are you arguing with them about?" He foams at the mouth, gnashes his teeth and becomes rigid. I asked your disciples to drive out the spirit, but they could not."

He fell to the ground and rolled around, foaming at the mouth. 21 Jesus asked the boy's father, "How long has he been like this?" "From childhood," he answered. 22 "It has often thrown him into fire or water to kill him.
 
Mark 9:22b - But if you can do anything, take pity on us and help us."

OBSTACLES TO REAL FAITH
 
SIGN DEMANDING FAITH.
 
Question: What is the danger of looking for a sign?

Matthew 16:15 - "But what about you?" he asked. "Who do you say I am?"

IMMERSE YOURSELF IN GOD’S WORD.
 
Romans 10:17 - So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. NKJV
 
Question: What stops you from spending time with God’s word?

ACT ON GOD’S WORD.
 
James 2:26 - As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead.

Mark 9:25-27 - When Jesus saw that a crowd was running to the scene, he rebuked the evil spirit. "You deaf and mute spirit," he said, "I command you, come out of him and never enter him again." 26 The spirit shrieked, convulsed him violently and came out. The boy looked so much like a corpse that many said, "He's dead." 27 But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him to his feet, and he stood up.
 
 Daniel 3:17-18 - If we are thrown into the blazing furnace, the God we serve is able to save us from it, and he will rescue us from your hand, O king. 18 But even if he does not, we want you to know, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the image of gold you have set up."
